Tornado relief group targets "forgotten towns"

Leaders of a newly formed nonprofit group called Magnolia Disaster Relief are focusing on the "forgotten towns" hit hard by tornadoes in April.

Founder James O'Dwyer said those towns include Warm Springs and Trenton in Georgia.

O'Dwyer,Choose from one of the major categories of Bedding, a University of Alabama sophomore, said tornado victims in some smaller towns haven't received as much help as those in areas that have received more media attention, like Ringgold, Georgia, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

"We're trying to give them furniture,Save on hydraulic hose and fittings, housewares, new clothes,This page list rubber hose products with details & specifications. pretty much everything you need to rebuild your life," O'Dwyer said.

Magnolia is holding a Father's Day donation drive in Newnan until 5 p.m. on Sunday at the GNC on Highway 34.
"This Father's Day, please think about all the families affected by the recent tornadoes in Alabama and Georgia," said O'Dwyer. "Many fathers will spend their special day rebuilding their families' homes, and many families lost their fathers on April 27, 2011."



Here are the needs: Gently used power tools, Lawn and garden tools, Furniture, Appliances, Housewares, Work gloves,Not to be confused with RUBBER MATS available at your local hardware store Tarps, Mattresses, Gift cards to Home Depot, Walmart,Polycore zentai are manufactured as a single sheet, and Kroger.

Magnolia volunteers held a sorting party in Alpharetta on Saturday. They went through huge boxes of clothing and bedding donated by Emory University students on summer move-out day.
